As the world is moving towards the deficit of natural resources due to the increase in population, numerous research and innovations are being under study to increase the use of natural resources to develop sustainable products and technologies with no harm to the environment. On this queue, Insect Biorefinery acts as an effective and important tool for maintaining the circular bioeconomy and sustainability.

Insect Biorefinery is the process of converting organic waste and residues into useful high-quality products. Insects such as yellow mealworm, black soldier fly (BSF), grasshopper, houseflies, and silkworm play a major role in valorizing organic wastes into proteins and fats through their larvae production and also produces various eco-friendly solutions that include animal feed, edible food, biofertilizers, biodiesel, bio enzymes and biopolymers.
