Delighted to share that the BioLaMer Project, funded by the EIC Pathfinder Open, had the opportunity to participate in the SNIP (National Symposium on Psychological Research) 2025 Symposium. The event took place on 29th May 2025, under the theme “From Lab to Market: Strategies and Challenges in Communicating Sustainability.”
Organized by Project Team at Lusófona University
This insightful session was organized by our dedicated project team at Lusófona University and hosted at the HEI-Lab – Human Environment Interaction Lab. The event brought together researchers, communicators, and sustainability advocates to explore how cutting-edge research can be effectively translated into real-world solutions.

BioLaMer’s research contributions through insightful presentations:
The session provided a valuable platform to highlight key research findings from the BioLaMer project, emphasizing our efforts towards advancing sustainable materials innovation. Particularly, project’s novel approach of transforming food waste into biodegradable bioplastics was outlined. This innovative process not only address the global challenge of food waste but also offers a promising alternative to conventional plastics, contributing to the global push toward a circular economy.

A sincere appreciation to our project partner Catarina Possidónio, for moderating the session and providing valuable context that enriched the discussion on bridging the gap between scientific research and public understanding. We also extend our thanks to our outstanding presenters – Ana Rita Farias, Eliana Portugal, and Bernardo Cruz – for their engaging and informative presentations.
