We are delighted to share that BioLaMer project partner Samuel Domingos, from Lusófona University HEI-Lab: Digital Human-Environment Interaction Labs presented the oral communication at the Safety and Reliability (ESREL) and Society for Risk Analysis Europe (SRA-E) conference (ESREL/SRA-E 2025), which took place between 15-19 June 2025📆, in Stavanger, Norway.

Presentation Title:
The presentation was delivered under the title“Risk management strategies, solutions, and recommendations for bioplastics production challenges: A co-production initiative”.
This conference brought together researchers and professionals working in the field of risk analysis, management and communication in various sectors of society.
Insights from the presentation:

Samuel’s presentation highlighted key findings from BioLaMer project with a particular focus on barriers and challenges to bioplastic production (e.g., technological; economic; supply stability) and discussed recommendations proposed by industry professionals to overcome such barriers (e.g., production process optimizations; regulatory simplifications; supply chain diversification).
Advancing Sustainable Innovation:
This presentation underscored the critical role of collaborative research in addressing real-world challenge by bridging scientific research and practical solutions for a sustainable bioplastics development.
