BioLaMer project took part in a key dissemination milestone during the inauguration of Barcelona Circular – a newly established hub dedicated to circular economy innovation and entrepreneurship, held on October 30,2025. This event provided an excellent platform to demonstrate BioLaMer’s progress and engage with a diverse audience of public stakeholders, students, and decision-makers.
Presenting BioLaMer to Leaders and the Public
During the inauguration, BioLaMer partners Ms Neda Tozija and Ms Nada Tozija from TransfoLAB BCN showcased the project’s work through a detailed presentation of the bioreactor system and the circular process it enables. The visual demonstration, presented in poster format, along with the samples of the larvae, biopolymers displayed the project’s innovative research highlighting its contribution towards sustainability.


A significant moment for the project was the opportunity to present directly to Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona, who officially inaugurated the center. Alongside his delegation, the mayor engaged with the BioLaMer team, reinforcing the importance of research and innovation in advancing urban circularity.

Engaging a Wide Audience
The event attracted a broad and diverse audience, including over 200 visitors and students, all eager to learn more about circular economy solutions. Through direct interaction and visual storytelling, BioLaMer successfully communicated complex processes in an accessible and engaging way.

The inauguration of Barcelona Circular marked an important step in promoting sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation in the city. BioLaMer’s participation highlighted its active role in demonstrating practical circular solutions and engaging with both institutional leaders and the public. This dissemination activity not only raised awareness of the project but also fostered dialogue with stakeholders and future innovators, strengthening connections within the circular economy ecosystem.
