What is European Researcher’s Night?
The European Researchers’ Night (ERN) is a Europe-wide public event that takes place annually to highlight the work of researchers and their contribution to society. Several activities such as live experiments, interactive exhibitions, engaging discussions with researchers, visual presentations, workshops and competitions, creating a lively, informative experience for the participants.
BioLaMer’s Engaging Exhibit at ERN:
Our team members Dr Sibu Padmanabhan and Dr Sivakumar Krishnan, from AMBER Centre, Trinity College Dublin, and Ms Eniya Mariappan from SocLineTech Solutions and Services was on the full display.

They exhibited and explained the innovative approaches of the BioLaMer project through a captivative poster that contained the objective of how the food waste problems and the petrochemical plastics challenges are addressed sustainably by BioLaMer. Additionally, a creative cartoon representing the project’s vision along with the displayed samples helped the public to get good understanding of BioLaMer research and its potential impacts.
The exhibit attracted attendees, and helped demonstrate BioLaMer’s innovation towards a greener future—a message that resonated strongly with visitors and highlighted the project’s significant contributions to a sustainable future.
